cancer advocacy. Breast Cancer Action
San Francisco-based group that aims to influence policy changes
necessary to end the breast cancer epidemic. California Breast Cancer Organizations
The California Breast Cancer Organizations (CABCO) is a grassroots
organization whose mission is the eradication of breast cancer. Founded
in 1991, CABCO is a coalition of eight member organizations and
thousands of individual supporters. Connecticut Breast Cancer Coalition/Foundation
The Connecticut Breast Cancer Coalition/Foundation is the only
statewide all-volunteer, grassroots advocacy group working to stem the
breast cancer epidemic. They focus attention on breast cancer through
advocacy, education, and services to the women of Connecticut. Georgia Breast Cancer Coalition Fund
Provides Georgians with an organizational platform from which to
educate the public and increase research funding to eradicate breast
cancer. Member of the National Breast Cancer Coalition. Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition
Aims to stop the breast cancer epidemic through activism, advocacy, and
education. Their goal is the cure, prevention, and ultimate eradication
of breast cancer. National Breast Cancer Coalition
The national advocacy group (Dr. Love is one of the founders)
responsible for increasing breast cancer funding to $900 million. Good
source of advocacy opportunities. Young Survival Coalition
Through action, advocacy, and awareness, the Young Survival Coalition
seeks to educate the medical, research, breast cancer, and legislative
communities and to persuade them to address breast cancer in women 40
and under.
