Show Me: A Photo Collection of Breast Cancer Survivors' Lumpectomies, Mastectomies, Breast Reconstructions and Thoughts on Body Image—Second Edition

This wonderful book includes color photographs of and commentary from thirty breast cancer survivors, mostly from Pennsylvania State Hershey Medical Center's Breast Cancer Support Group in Hershey, PA. The first book of its kind, Show Me enables women newly diagnosed with breast cancer to see in color the lumpectomy, mastectomy, and reconstruction scars of women of different sizes, shapes, ages, and skin colors.

All the survivors who posed for the photographs in the book chose to show their face and their smiles. Their intention was not to paint a rosy picture of breast cancer but to visually express how they feel now in terms of quality of life.

The photos and comments of the following nine survivors are presented with permission from the Breast Cancer Support Group of the Pennsylvania State Hershey Medical Center. To learn how to order the book click here.
