The Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation gives the brightest minds in science the tools they need to conduct the intraductal research that will bring us to the beginning of the end of breast cancer.
The Foundation gives out pilot grants to jumpstart innovative research and to encourage scientists to pursue the intraductal approach. Researchers are able to use these initial grants to leverage future funding from larger foundations and institutions.
Grants are made through a novel approach, where applicants present their proposals at the Foundation's biennial International Symposium on the Intraductal Approach to Breast Cancer. This process allows for immediate peer review of the proposed research. Further, by attending the Symposium, individuals pursuing Foundation grants are able to hear about the most recent advances in intraductal research, see how their grant proposal fits into a broader research effort, and learn from the experience and expertise of veterans in the field.
Since 1998, the Foundation has awarded pilot grants totaling more than $800,000. Learn more about our past grant recipients and the research they are pursuing.
The next International Symposium on the Intraductal Approach to Breast Cancer will be held in March 2009.
