The
Foundation will host the 5th International Symposium on the Intraductal
Approach to Breast Cancer on March 1–4, 2007, at the Sheraton Delfina
in Santa Monica, California. We anticipate clinicians, researchers, and
advocates from throughout the world to gather in Santa Monica for this
important event.
The conference is designed to: - Bring experienced and new researchers together to share
their experiences and findings, and to generate new ideas related to the intraductal approach. - Develop multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary
collaborations. - Provide pilot grants to stimulate new research using the intraductal approach.
This
conference is being planned by a program committee of past attendees
and will include presentations from current researchers who either have
published or are funded to do research in the field.
Topics
will include the breast as an intracrine organ, anatomy and ultrasound,
sonoductography and MRI galactography, biomarkers, proteomics and
genetic analysis of breast ductal fluid, and clinical applications of
ductal lavage.
Grant Applicants will present their proposals
at the conference, providing a unique opportunity to gain feedback and
insights from other researchers. A Peer Review Committee will
award grants ranging from $10,000-$20,000 following their
presentations. To learn more about the grant application process, please click here.
We
look forward to seeing you in Santa Monica at the International
